Sorry for radio silence!

Past concerts:

Saturday 9th December 2023 - Flautissimo played Christmas tunes in Ringwood

Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th December 2023 - Fryern Federation had two Christmas services with the musicians that I teach playing beautifully at them

Panto week with Mountbatton Players was w/b 8th January, this year it was Cinderella again

Spamalot with SOS Presents was w/b 22nd January

Flautissimo went to a massed Flute Choir day in Birmingham on Saturday 2nd March - we played in the afternoon concert

Grease with Footlights Youth Theatre was during March half term

Oliver with RAODS was my April show over in Romsey

May 4th saw Flautissimo hosting nearly 70 flute players who had been members at some point for the 40th Anniversary Celebrations.

May half term had me performing in Beauty and the Beast with Spot On Productions

Sondheim's Company with Pinpoint Productions was the show for June

June 29th - Flautissimo held a wonderful Celebration of Women Composers Concert. There were some fantastic recordings from this concert, so I'll be sharing these soon.

July was back with SOS Presents for Guys and Dolls

Which brings me right up to date with the latest Southampton Concert Orchestra performance in Romsey Abbey: Saturday 20th July was two pieces of Wagner in the first half, Siegfried Idyll (1st flute) and Meistersingers (Picc), with the real centrepiece of the show being Mahler's 7th Symphony in the 2nd half (Picc). The orchestra was celebrating 60 years of music performances in Southampton with this epic concert.

Christmas Tree Festival Concert

I will be performing at St. Boniface Church as part of the fantastic Christmas Tree Festival tomorrow (Saturday 29th November) at 7.30pm.  It is a free concert (with donations as you leave) lasting just an hour with no interval.  Also playing will be Hugh Benham (organ and piano), Sophie McKellar (violin) and Hannah Nanapragasam (saxophone).  The Christmas Tree Festival runs all weekend and if you can't make the concert it is worth dropping into the church to see the trees at another time.
